My Private Armenia
Travel has refined the way I see beauty, culture, and place.
I have taken a polar plunge in Antarctica, explored the extraordinary wildlife of the Galápagos Islands, sailed through the blue expanses of Bora Bora, Fiji, and Tahiti, watched the sun rise over Machu Picchu, and wandered Kyoto beneath cherry blossoms. Several of these journeys were with National Geographic Expeditions, including Antarctica, the Galápagos Islands, African safaris, Iguazú Falls, and Victoria Falls — experiences that shaped my understanding of access, timing, storytelling, hospitality, and what makes a place stay with you.
These were not simply trips. They expanded my understanding of the world and refined my appreciation for places that leave a lasting impression — places that are not only beautiful, but remain with you. And perhaps most surprisingly, they taught me how rare Armenia truly is.
Born and educated in Armenia, I later built my life in the United States, where finance, family, and years of cultural involvement in the Armenian community shaped my discipline, judgment, and attention to detail. Alongside it all, piano, Armenian folk dance, performance, art, and travel remained part of my inner language — refining my sense of beauty, rhythm, culture, discipline, and human connection.
Yet every summer, I find myself returning here — not only because Armenia is my birthplace, but because it continues to move me. Each return reveals something I had not noticed before.
Most people know Armenia for its ancient history and monasteries. What they discover, when guided with care, is something far more personal: untouched landscapes, a culture still carried in daily life, and a warmth of hospitality that feels increasingly rare.
Over the past several years, I have continued exploring Armenia through private expeditions into its mountains, forests, canyons, fortresses, and remote villages. These journeys revealed a side of the country that few visitors would ever find on their own.
Armenia Exclusively was born from a quiet conviction: after seeing some of the world’s most extraordinary places, I believe Armenia belongs among them.
I created these journeys for those who want to experience the country beyond the expected — not as tourists, but as welcomed guests. My hope is that, at the end of your journey, you will carry the same feeling I have had again and again:
“I never would have found this Armenia on my own.”

Private Journeys. Timeless Memories.
Yerevan is where the journey begins — a city where memory, culture and everyday life exist side by side. Older than Rome, yet remarkably alive, it moves between rose-colored stone, café-lined streets, museums, manuscripts, and long dinners that seem to stretch naturally into the evening.
The first day is an introduction to the values that continue to shape Armenia today: history, craftsmanship, hospitality and generosity. From the History Museum and Matenadaran to Mayrig and Megerian Carpets, the city reveals itself not as a lesson in the past, but as something still being lived.
Ancient stories, living traditions, and a city that knows how to welcome you.
It is a gentle beginning — one that lets you settle into Armenia before the journey moves beyond the capital.

Beyond Yerevan, Armenia begins to reveal the landscapes that shaped its character.
Cliffs carved by wind and time. Monasteries built into the rock itself. Traditions carried forward not through museums, but through daily life.
Today moves between Armenia’s ancient and living worlds — from the pagan columns of Garni to the cave monastery of Geghard, from the rhythm of lavash baking to a table shared with local hosts.
Stone and fire. Silence and conversation. Ancient monuments and traditions still practiced today.
Here, Armenia feels less like history and more like continuity.
Experiences
Garni Temple
The only surviving Greco-Roman colonnaded temple in the region, overlooking the dramatic Azat Gorge.

Today we step into the spiritual heart of Armenia.
Etchmiadzin has been the spiritual center of Armenia since the early fourth century, when Armenia became the first nation in the world to adopt Christianity as its state religion.
We begin at Zvartnots, the 7th-century Temple of the Angels, before continuing to the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin — the world’s oldest cathedral still in use.
Here, faith, culture and national identity have been intertwined for more than seventeen centuries.
In the afternoon, the journey turns to another ancient Armenian tradition — winemaking — with a private winery visit, tasting and lunch among the vines.

Few views in Armenia carry the weight of this one — a small monastery on the open plain, and behind it, Ararat.
This is Khor Virap, where Gregory the Illuminator spent thirteen years in a pit before he brought a whole nation to Christianity in 301 AD.
Sacred history, ancient wine and Ararat always on the horizon.
The day then continues into Armenia’s ancient wine country, where caves, vineyards and village hospitality reveal another layer of the country’s story.
